“Our lives are meant to be a journey of continual renewal. Even when we’ve lived through a lot, we can still grow more.”
Dr. Gregory Bottaro is the director of the CatholicPsych Institute and the developer of the Catholic Mindfulness online course. He received his doctorate of clinical psychology from the Institute for the Psychological Sciences. Before getting his doctorate, Dr. Bottaro spent four years living as a Franciscan friar and serving the poor. Instead of serving those in material poverty, he now seeks to serve those with psychological needs. He works closely with the Archdiocese of New York and other communities on program development, retreats for married couples, and consultation for Archdiocesan endeavors. His first book, The Mindful Catholic, teaches readers simple exercises to practice Catholic mindfulness, relieve anxiety, and become more present in their everyday lives.
