St. Thérèse of Lisieux

Holiness consists simply in doing God’s will and being just what God wants us to be.

St. Thérèse of Lisieux (1873–1897) was a French Discalced Carmelite nun. She is best known for her autobiography, The Story of a Soul, which gives an account of her childhood, her “little way” of loving God and others, and her life as a nun.

St. Thérèse is one of the most popular saints in the world today. Her simple message of doing ordinary, everyday things with great love gives people hope that they, too, can become the saints God created them to be.
