Preparing the Way

We can learn a lot from John the Baptist. He teaches us that we need to go away from the world to prepare our hearts for Jesus. He teaches us that we need a great friend in our lives to help us realize when our priorities are out of order. And he teaches us how to be that great friend to others.

Choose one way today you can take a step back from the world to reflect on who you are and what you’re being called to do.

Come, Holy Spirit, help me to imitate John the Baptist. Give me the courage to be the friend who can help others prepare for Jesus.
