SESSION 1: Sunday Is Special
The Eucharist is one of life’s greatest blessings.
Every day is a new day in our journey with God—and every day God has a message he is trying to share with us.
Going to Mass on Sunday is a great way to show God we are grateful for all our blessings.
As a parent, the most powerful way to experience BLESSED: The First Communion Experience is to incorporate it into your family’s conversations. Watch the episode “What Makes Sunday Special?” as a family. Then discuss some ways you can make every Sunday a special day. Pick three of those ways to practice this week.
Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel;
he has come to his people to set them free.
He has raised up for us a mighty Savior,
born of the house of his servant David.
Through his holy prophets he promised of old,
that he would save us from our enemies,
from the hands of all who hate us.
He promised to show mercy to our fathers
and to remember his holy Covenant.
This was the oath he swore to Abraham:
to set us free from the hands of our enemies,
free to worship him without fear,
holy and Righteous in his sight
all the days of our life.
