I love my wife.
I love chocolate.
Isn’t it funny how we use the same word for such different purposes?
Love. What does this word really mean?
It is the heart of the Gospel, of our faith, and of life itself. Yet, I often grapple with this concept in my own life—in my friendships, in my family, in my marriage . . . and in my dessert choices.
There is a reason why marriage is a sacrament—we need grace. The command “Love one another as I have loved you” often looks a lot less like an extended honeymoon and a lot more like hard work. But it’s the best kind of work, because you get to do it with your best friend.
This is why, here at Dynamic Catholic, we spent the past four years researching and developing our world-class Catholic Moment BETTER TOGETHER: The Dynamic Catholic Marriage Preparation & Enrichment Experience.
I am proud to announce its official release.
I could not be more thrilled about this beautifully designed program which contains a bounty of hard-earned wisdom and best practices in the way of videos and guidebooks. We’ve even partnered with Dr. Gregory Bottaro to create inventories for marriage preparation and enrichment that are designed to spark incredible conversations between couples.
Best of all, it is available to you and every parish in the country for free.
I invite you to take a look at this resource. My prayer is that BETTER TOGETHER inspires you and strengthens the marriages in your life and parish—because every couple needs resources that help them strengthen their relationship amid the turmoil of the modern culture.
While the command to love can be difficult, love is the noblest venture we can embark on.
Thank you to the phenomenal team at Dynamic Catholic for working so hard on this incredible Catholic Moment. Thank you to our Ambassadors for making this possible. And thank you to my children and my wife, Meggie, for teaching me what it really means to love.
And thank you, chocolate, for being so delicious.
