I hate waking up to an alarm clock. Even the name disturbs me. Who wants to wake up alarmed? So I renamed it. I call it an opportunity clock. When that opportunity clock goes off each morning, instead of hitting the snooze button, we should be bounding out of bed, eager to take that one step that will help us become the-best-version-of-ourselves.
Do you need to wake up to a new opportunity in some area of your life?
Is there something God has been encouraging you to do this year that you’ve been putting off?
This is the time of year when I love to come up with an “End-of-Year Resolution.” It’s that one thing or project that God is eager to collaborate with me on. That one stubborn habit I need God’s grace to help me change.
Our lives change when our habits change. At Dynamic Catholic, we champion four simple life-changing habits that will help you become the-best-version-of-yourself. To help you build these four habits, we’ve created a Dynamic Catholic event just for you: Find Your Greatness.
As you consider your End-of-Year Resolution, I’ll leave you with a little spoiler from the event: one of the habits is making time for daily prayer. Even if you can’t attend a Find Your Greatness event, Dynamic Catholic has plenty of wonderful books on prayer. We’ve even created a simple Prayer Process to help you develop this life-giving habit.
Daily prayer is the key to a lifelong friendship with God. What are you going to do in this life that is more fulfilling than developing a friendship with God? One of the great moments in the life of a Christian comes when we realize, once and for all, that a life with prayer is better than a life without prayer.
What’s your End-of-Year Resolution? Whatever it is, get started today. It'll be a great way to respond to that opportunity clock.
May God bless you and all those you love,
